The upcoming 2023 season sees a few unexpected (but necessary) changes to the Manchester Mayhem squad.
We will be loaning three of our players over to the Peterborough Phantoms Para Ice Hockey Team for this year only. Peterborough have unfortunately been struggling with numbers for a short while now, and looking ahead to this season they were left with the sobering reality that they might not be able to ice a full team.
The players will be Karl Nicholson, Naomi Jenks, and Peggy Assink.
All of us at Manchester Mayhem agree that it is far more preferable and beneficial to the league as a whole, if we can help by allowing some of our players to play for Peterborough this year. The alternative would leave the Phantoms with a very uncertain future.
During this time, Peterborough will be trying to attract new players to the sport in order to set themselves up stronger for next year, and Manchester will use this opportunity to develop the rest of their team and newer players.
